The delegation of the National Assembly Commission for Slovenians abroad, led by Suzana Lep Šimenko, started a working visit in Cleveland, Ohio. The delegation visited many institutions of the Slovenian community - the Slovenian National Home on St. Claire, Slovenian Museum and Archives, Slovenian Reading Room, Slovenian Cultural Garden, Cleveland style Polka Hall of Fame, Church of St. Vitus and the parish hall, and the premises of the Consulate General. They also met with the Cleveland's Bishop Malesic, who is of Slovenian origin.

The day was wrapped with talks at the Consul General's Residence with the President of the Eastern European Congress, Slovenian members of the Ohio Eastern European Commission, and Ohio politicians of Slovenian origin.
