State secretary of Government's Office for Slovenians Abroad, Vesna Humar, visited São Paulo, Brazil last weekend.

SGBN's team leader, dr Štefan Bogdan Barenboim Šalej, organised a working meeting together with the president of UEB, dr Boris Krajnc Alves and the president of SLOBRAZ - the Slovenian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Matjaz Cokan. The discussions included future cooperation with SLOAR, extending the digital map of Slovenian businesses on the global level, student exchange project and learning of the Slovene language. Dr Šalej also emphasised the forthcoming activities of the SGBN and expressed worries about the news in Slovenian media regarding the Slovenian government's reorganisation and that the Office will be integrated into the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs.
During the cordial and efficient exchanges, the Slovenian Ambassador to Brazil, Mateja Kračun and Suzana Martinez from the government's Office for Slovenians Abroad were also attending.


On the occasion, »Slovenski dom Triglav« was also inaugurated in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. This great achievement for the Slovenian community in Brazil is being supported by the Government's Office for Slovenians Abroad and also has all the support of SGBN.
