Yesterday, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Slovenians Abroad, Matej Arčon, hosted a festive reception at his office in light of the Christmas and New Year holidays and the national holiday of Independence Day.
It was attended by representatives of Slovenian organisations from Italy, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, representatives of civil society organisations that operates in Slovenia with the aim of connecting Slovenians abroad and emigrating with their motherland, journalists and heads of diplomatic and consular representations of Slovenia in neighbouring countries.
On this occasion, the minister and the Government Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad were thanked for all their efforts in connecting minority organisations in various fields. The International Sports Coordination was founded less than a week ago, and next year there are also plans to connect in the field of culture.
