We are pleased to acknowledge the immense efforts of our Canadian Slovenian Community to provide aid to Slovenia after the catastrophic flooding of August 2023. Every donation was appreciated and it has been wonderful to see how our community banded together to help. 100% of the donations will be forwarded to Karitas-Slovenia through Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Slovenian Church.

To contribute to this crucial fundraising, the CSCC was pleased to assist the fundraising campaign by accepting donations via e-transfer. All donations that went through OLMM will be able to get a tax receipt in January 2024. The final total is yet to be announced but, as of August 28, over $158,000 in donations is confirmed. SGBN appreciate and congratulates the Associate Member CSCC and the Slovenian community and companies in Canada for an outstanding example of Slovenian solidarity. For centuries, Slovenian business organisations from all over the world have shown their solidarity with their homeland as always in crucial moments.
