Manufacturing plays an important role in the Slovenian economy and the performance of companies in this industry is an indicator for the entire economy. Companies operating with classification C have a third of the employees among all Slovenian companies (that is 193 thousand employees), generate half of all revenues of Slovenian companies on foreign markets and a good third of the total added value, according to AJPES.

Also, companies in the industry generated the most net profit with a third share among all companies. It should be emphasized here that just under two-thirds of the profit of the entire industry was earned by those ranked on our list of the largest (this is just under a quarter of the total profit of all Slovenian companies).

The processing activity also ranked highly in terms of revenues, where it reached second place with a 30% share. Our top hundred generated 15 percent of the total revenue of all Slovenian companies.

In addition to sales revenue, operating profit before depreciation (EBITDA), capital, assets and the number of employees were took into account when ranking the largest.
