On March 5, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented the 56th Chamber of Commerce Awards for outstanding economic and entrepreneurial achievements at a ceremony in Cankarjev dom.
Four businessmen joined the previous awardees, who received this recognition for the successful management of their companies over the years:
- Janko Koprivec, ownner of SILIKO d.o.o., Vrhnika
- Robert Medle, director at Roletarstvo Medle d.o.o., Novo mesto
- Milan Košeljnik, director at Kolding d.o.o., Prevalje
- Dragan Mešič, director at Megras d.o.o., Murska Sobota
The red thread of the award was "the art of leadership". As Tibor Šimonka, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, made clear at the ceremony: "Leadership requires organisational skills, team spirit, the right amount of empathy, which is why it is so difficult to find the right leaders or the right leader in the right place… a good leader must also have good business success." And this is exactly what we are looking for at the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia every year. We reward commercially successful companies that have achieved and maintained these results over a longer period of time and under the same management. However, achieving good business success has also become a real art, especially given the uncertain social, economic and political conditions at home and around the world, and in the recent period, great geopolitical unknowns around the world."
